Deluna
DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) Dives
DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle) — this is an underwater propulsion scooter, a compact electric device that pulls the diver forward underwater. It is held with the hands and controlled by simple controls, allowing you to move steadily and controllably without constant finning.
DPV allows you to cover a significantly larger distance in a single dive without exhausting yourself physically and without turning the dive into a battle against the current. DPV dives are calm, long, and very comfortable: less finning, more observing, and better use of your time underwater.

In the Deluna dive center, you can choose one of three formats: try DPV in a trial dive, take a full PADI course, or simply go on a fun dive with a guide.
Key Facts About DPV
  • Speed Control
DPV allows movement at a steady, predictable speed, which simplifies depth holding, group spacing, and overall dive control.
  • Reduced Physical Strain
With DPV use, a diver works much less with fins, reducing fatigue and preserving energy throughout the dive.
  • Air Consumption Efficiency
Due to reduced physical effort and a more even breathing pace, many divers note more stable and economical air usage.
  • Extended Range
With a DPV, you can cover many times the usual route in a single dive without exceeding standard recreational dive profiles.
  • Training Required
DPV is not just equipment, but a tool that requires basic training, understanding of distance, control, and team interaction.
  • A Completely New Experience
DPV changes the feel of diving — instead of constant swimming, you experience peaceful gliding, making dives feel fundamentally different from normal dives.
SUEX Quantum — premium underwater propulsion scooters
We use SUEX Quantum — compact and reliable Italian-made DPVs, well suited for both recreational and advanced dives.

Quantum DPVs provide smooth and predictable thrust, are easy to control, and do not overload the diver. Speed is adjustable, the housing is well balanced for stable positioning in the water, and the controls are intuitive even for a first DPV experience.

SUEX Quantum Specifications:
  • Max speed: up to 70 m/min (~230 ft/min)
  • Cruise speed: about 45 m/min
  • Battery duration: up to 220 minutes at cruise speed
  • Max duration at top speed: ~90 minutes
  • Maximum distance: up to ~10 km per dive
  • Max depth: up to 100 meters
  • Weight in water (with battery): ~11.7 kg
  • 8 speed levels
Trial DPV Dives
This option is great for those who have never dived with a DPV or want to try it without taking the full course. You receive a detailed briefing before the dive explaining how to control the DPV, group distance, signals, and safety basics. Underwater, everything is done at a calm pace under the full guidance of an instructor or guide.

This is a great way to find out whether you are comfortable using a DPV and whether you enjoy this type of diving.

PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Course
This full course is designed for divers who want to confidently use the DPV on future dives. The training includes planning a DPV dive, working in pairs or groups, controlling speed and distance, managing depth changes, and handling typical non-emergency situations.

After completing the DPV course, the DPV stops being just a “device” and becomes a clear, controlled, and safe tool for expanding your diving possibilities.

DPV Fun Dive (with guide)
If you already have DPV experience and certification, you can join a guided DPV fun dive. We select a dive site that fits conditions and the group’s level, conduct a briefing, and lead a route designed especially for using propulsion scooters. This is an excellent way to explore long reefs, walls, and current areas where DPVs shine.

The price includes the use of a diver propulsion vehicle (DPV), a full briefing, and guidance by a certified guide or instructor.
