- There are more than 50 dive sites in Mindoro: shipwrecks, canyons, walls, all no more than 25-30 minutes away by boat. On Mindoro you can find 580 of the 793 existing coral species, 12,000 species of clams and 1,200 different species of coral fish. For example, there are half as many coral species on the Great Barrier Reef and 11 times fewer in the Caribbean Sea. In addition, our dive center is the only dive center in Mindoro, where Russian-speaking instructors work full time.

In addition to diving, we organize regular one-day trips to the island of Verde - one of the best diving spots in the Philippines. This is a full day trip (from 9 am to 6 pm), on the trip we do 2 dives, landing on the island and a barbecue.

For those who would like to try diving but are not certified, the following options are available:

1) Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) program.
This is a program in which you are briefly told what a scuba tank is and how to use it, then demonstrated the most basic skills in the pool, after which you dive the coral reef in pairs with an instructor.

All together takes from beginning to end about two to three hours. The price for one person is $75;

Since the DSD program is part of the Open Water Diver course, upon completion of the dive you will receive a document certifying that you have successfully completed 1/5th of the course and may continue at any dive center, counting on a discount from the cost of the main course.

2) The second option for non-certified persons is to try dives with an instructor, the so-called test dives. You will be very limited in depth and will dive under the control of an instructor. The cost of such a dive is $50.

3) The third option - is a full course of Open Water Diver, after which you will receive a certificate and the opportunity to dive with a partner in any dive center of the world to a depth of 18 meters, but it requires a minimum of 3 days. The cost of the course with all training materials and certificate is $450.

Visibility in Mindoro is not seasonal and can improve or deteriorate slightly several times a month. The weather on the surface, too, is the same in both October and February. In October, there is a slightly higher chance of rain, but the water has a stable temperature of 28-30 degrees.

Visibility under water does not depend directly on precipitation and time of year, and can vary even during the day and from site to site, so it is almost impossible to predict and forecast in advance. Only on site, a day or two in advance.

Philippine diving is famous first and foremost for its macro world, and Mindoro is a classic underwater macro. The list is endless: thousands of species of hollows and other mollusks, seahorses, pygmy and tubeworms, electric oysters, fire cuttlefish, frogfish of all colors and sizes (from tiny to giant), shrimp and crabs.

Also in Mindoro you can find representatives of large animals: giant turtles, stingrays and eagles, octopus, and very close to our hotel there is a magnificent Hibo-reef with white-float and gray reef sharks. In addition, there is a dive site in Puerto Galera with several dozen giant oysters (Tridacna) weighing 100-120 kilograms, which is protected by UNESCO. Also, since most sites have a current of some strength, pelagic fish species like tuna, barracuda, mackerel and others are often caught.

In the morning after breakfast we take our boat directly from the hotel, and, in most cases, leave at once for 2 dives. The surface interval between dives is on the boat as we go from one dive site to the next. By ~14.00 we return, have lunch, and go on the third dive (optional).

Night dives are also available daily.

Those wishing to travel to Mindoro must fly to Manila Airport.

Unfortunately, the Philippine Coast Guard has now banned night navigation (after 6pm), so an overnight stay in Manila is unavoidable.

If you are traveling alone, as a couple or in a small group, and taking into account the overnight stay in Manila, we can recommend you the following transfer arrangement to our island: our driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel in Manila. The next morning he meets you again at hotel reception in Manila and drives you to Batangas port, where the public boats leave. You arrive in Puerto Galera and a ferry line minivan takes you directly from the pier to the door of our hotel.

The high season in Mindoro is from November to July, and the peak season is from March to June. These months can be called the best months of the year.

In August, the weather can be different, it's the beginning of the rainy season. However, last year, for example, it did not start, as well as the year before. There were some heavy showers, it still rains regularly at night, but during the day it's mostly dry and cloudless all the time. Air temperature 28-29, water temperature 29-30. The tides are almost imperceptible.

In September, the weather can be different, but mostly not bad. This is a transitional time between the rainy season and the high season. The rains, as a rule, at this time of year, if they do come, they are not very long (this has been the case in recent years, and last year there was no rain at all in September). For example, it may rain at night.

We have a great beach, good bottom with a correct slope, mostly sandy, sometimes the sand is slightly washed away and here and there pebbles come through, but it does not complicate the entry into the sea in any way. So we can guarantee an excellent beach holiday with bathing and massage under palm trees.
